Five-star homebuilder, Barratt Developments Yorkshire East is showing its support for servicewomen this VE Day, by installing Women in War figures at 16 of its developments across East Yorkshire.
Barratt Developments Yorkshire East, which includes the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, has teamed up with the Royal British Legion Industries for its Women in War campaign which aims to shine a spotlight on the efforts of women both in the military and civilian occupations.
The iconic female figures are on display at a number of the companies’ sites including the ongoing projects at Queens Court and Minster View in Beverley.
The figures can also be purchased online, with every penny raised through the sale going directly to support RBLI’s welfare, accommodation, and employment services for military veterans and their families.

We are proud to have welcomed many veterans through our Armed Forces Transition Programme and we’d encourage local residents to show their support this VE Day by purchasing a ‘Women in War’ figure from the RBLI.”
