With Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ new Key Worker Deposit Contribution scheme, East Yorkshire’s key workers can now qualify for up to £15,000 towards the deposit on a new home.

In East Yorkshire, the scheme has been introduced to Queens Court, Poppy Fields, Fleet Green, Harrier Chase, Minster View, Harland Park, and Hesslewood Park.

 A Nature Reserve near David Wilson Homes’ Edwin Vale development in Doncaster is one of the more than 100 nature reserves supported by the charity. Wildlife and wild places are conserved, protected, and restored by the charity.

Local housebuilder Barratt Developments Yorkshire East, which includes the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, has received the maximum 5-star rating in the new Home Builders Federation (HBF) annual New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey. 

The number of stars awarded is based on customer responses to the question: “Would you recommend your builder to a friend?”. Over 90% of Barratt Developments customers said they would recommend the housebuilder to a friend.

News that the cap on the number of people that can attend funeral services is to be removed has been welcomed by local firm Frank Stephenson & Son Funeral Directors.

As part of the next steps in easing restrictions, the legal cap of 30 people attending a funeral will be scrapped a month earlier than planned. From 17 May there will be no restrictions on the number of people who can attend.
