The Treasure House welcomes families from Friday, 9 October to Saturday, 31 October for a Where’s Wally extravaganza.

Visitors will be able to have fun finding Wally lurking amongst the displays in the Treasure House Museum and in the Where’s Wally Spooky Museum Search. Alongside Wally will be a set of letters, spelling out a spooky word. Families are invited to go all the way and come dressed as Wally!

Education officer Sarah Hammond explained: “Families need to ask for a Where’s Wally Search sheet at the reception on the first floor. They will also be given a free bookmark for taking part, while stocks last. Don’t forget to bring your own pen or use your phone to jot down the letters for the spooky word as you search the displays.”

There will be a chance to win a Day Pass to Sewerby Hall and Gardens in a prize draw selfie competition, for those who complete the Search.  Visitors simply take a selfie while doing the Where’s Wally Spooky Museum Search; follow @ERMuseums on Facebook and Twitter; then share their selfie on their profile and tag in East Riding . The lucky winner will be selected at random on 2 November.

Visitors don’t need to book, but they may be asked to wait outside until the controlled entry measures allow them into the museum. This is to make sure everyone has enough space to remain socially distanced while they complete the no-touch trail.

Participants are requested to follow all Government and guidance, including wearing face coverings, unless exempt,  leaving track and trace information and following the one-way system while remaining socially distanced.

For those who can’t make it to the Treasure House, there’s Where’s Wally Hallowe’en family fun online. Visit  https://www.eastridinglma.co.uk/wheres-wally/ to discover what there is, including ‘Lost in Time: Spooky Object Search’, the ‘Spooky Headless Portraits’ challenge from Beverley Art Gallery, and a Where’s Wally Beverley Bear interactive puzzle for younger users.

Ths trail is a national event organised by Kids in Museums and Walker Books. They are offering the chance to win Art Fund Family Membership plus a copy of Where’s Wally? Spooky Spotlight Search to anyone visiting the Treasure House to do the Search. Details of how to enter are on the Where’s Wally Spooky Museums Search sheets at the Treasure House.
