Cafe V owners Graham and have expressed their gratitude to their customers and staff as the couple celebrated a successful first year since taking on the business.

Located on , Graham and Jayne say support has been good over the past twelve months and they are slowly making changes personalising the Cafe.

 “We would like to say a big thank you to all our customers, especially the regulars who were very  patient with us through the change over period and now have become our  friends and to our staff who do an amazing job.”

 “In the past year we have replaced the outside tables and chairs for our customers comfort and improving the look of the frontage.  We’re also slowly redecorating inside and making the cafe ‘ours’.”

“Recently we replaced the coffee machine to ensure the best  possible tasting coffee for our customers.  Some changes have also been made to the suppliers we are using meaning we are getting more locally sourced produce.”

“Having just launched an take away menu we are now replacing plastic straws with paper ones  and looking replacing the takeaway cups which will make more Environmentally friendly.”

Formally a joiner, Graham is enjoying life as a cafe owner, rolling up his sleeves swapping power tools for kitchen appliances impressing people with his baking.

Jayne, who also spends time working at the cafe says while they have had a good year it saddens her to hear when others do not flourish, she said;

“Both of us are sorry to have seen the closure of some of the local independent cafes in over the year. We would encourage customers to use local independent businesses as this helps keep local money in the local area.”

To mark their first year trading the couple enjoyed a week of celebration that included a special prize draw for their customers and birthday cake.
