Police Appeal To Find Two Men Who Stole From Pensioners Home

Humberside Police

are  appealing to the public for help to locate two men who entered the home of an elderly couple and stole money.

In statement released police said;

“We are appealing for witnesses after a couple in their 90s were burgled on Sigston Road, at around 11am on Thursday 13 April.”

“A 98-year-old man was in his garden when he was approached by two men asking if they would like some painting done, which he declined.”

“However one of the men then entered the victims home, walking past his 96-year-old wife and a short time later left the property.”

“Both men then left the area in a small white van which was parked outside the address and drove off.”

“The woman then discovered that £250 had been stolen from her handbag.”

The suspects are described as, white, aged between 25 and 30 years old and between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 8ins tall with a slim build. He was wearing a blue coat and a woolly hat.

The second suspect is also  white, aged between 35 and 40 years old and 5ft 9ins tall with a medium build. He was wearing a blue hooded top with the hood pulled up.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who can help identify the men are urged to call 101 quoting crime reference number 2264328.
