Beverley Blues Festival Links Up With East Riding Theatre

Now in its 5th year the Beverley Blues event is pleased to announce the 2015 line up.

“Featuring the best in local and international talent this year we have teamed up with the to bring you an evening of Blues with , Saturday 24th October.”

Steve Swales, from the said;

“Catfish is a cutting edge blues singer, songwriter and bottleneck slide guitarist from Iowa, USA. He is best known as an exponent of the steel guitar.”

“An inductee in the Blues Hall of Fame, Catfish has fifteen Number One independent radio chart topping albums to his credit and a new album due out this tour.”

“Over at the Sun Inn, home to Beverley Blues, there are over 15 local and regional acts appearing over the weekend, with afternoon and evening showcases.”

Artist and bands appearing include: Poorboy, Johnny & The Rizlas, The Quicksilver Kings, Dogfinger Steve, Chris Martin, Soft Shoe Sam, Keith Bourbon, Rivers Johansson, The Juke Joint Kings and many more. Events at the Sun Inn are FREE entry all weekend.”

“The event is run entirely by volunteers to bring you the best and to raise money for the music therapy charity – Nordoff Robbins, a national music therapy charity dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and adults across the UK who are celebrating their 40th Anniversary this year.”

“In the run up to the festival there are the ongoing free monthly Sunday Blues Sessions at the Sun Inn taking place on the last Sunday of each month.”
