Employers from across East Yorkshire are invited to a free workshop on how to inspire and lead their staff at East Riding College this month.
The event will be held at the College’s Gallows Lane campus in Beverley from 3.30pm to 5pm on Wednesday February 25.
One of the College’s leading teacher trainers will take a session on coaching and mentoring, which are techniques for encouraging employees to learn and develop for themselves, rather than through instruction from others.
Rachael Owen, business development manager for the College, said:
“Coaching and mentoring are highly effective ways to help your employees to grow, using your example and their initiative, but they are also hard to get right.
“Our free workshop and networking event will be an opportunity to learn from our experienced tutor, who will give you an insight into what makes a great coach and mentor.
“Plus, all delegates will receive £50 off the cost of the Level One Award in Coaching and Mentoring qualification with East Riding College.”
As one of the College’s Employer Advisory Group events, it is also an opportunity to give feedback on the College’s services to business and to suggest new course developments, as well as hearing about new training subsidies and initiatives.
