RICS Hosting Events For Local Property Professionals

Delaney Marling Partnership - Construction Monitoring For Residential Lettings

The RICS Hull & East Yorkshire Local Association is running two events for property professionals in Hull, with the first at Sewell Group, Leads Road, on 14th November – the hazards and dangers of inspecting electrical installations in dwellings, and Gosschalks, Queens Gardens, on 4th December – lease renewals and dilapidations to commercial properties.

Simon Delaney, Chartered Surveyor at Delaney Marling Partnership Ltd is on the RICS Hull and East Yorkshire Association committee, helping to organise the events, he says:

“We want surveyors and inspectors to be able to have more of an understanding of electrical installations when undertaking surveys for their clients. The RICS events will offer a clear insight into issues around electrical installations in properties. In the property legal update we will also cover all aspects of pre-action protocols in relation to damage to commercial properties, as well as a case study on lease renewals and their effect on tenants.”

“Attending our events will contribute towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Until recently, local professionals would have had to travel to Leeds or further afield to undertake this kind of training.”

“RICS Humber (ETC) Association is making it easier for Hull and East Yorkshire based businesses to train closer to home, and offers an array of training, guidance and in land, property and construction.”

“These sessions will be informative and interactive, and we want to ensure all attendees leave with an expanded knowledge of property handling.”

The presentations will be given by Graeme Wool, Principal Engineer at the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) and Matthew Fletcher, Head of Commercial and Construction Litigation at Gosschalks Law Firm, and company partner Victoria Quinn.
