UKIP Beverley and Holderness Select Candidate for 2015 General Election

has been selected as UKIPs Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Beverley and Holderness Constituency for the 2015 General Election.

In statement released by the party Gary mapped out his views saying;

‘In our area there are several key issues that affect us. I’ve been a secondary school science teacher for 12 years.’

‘As such I have seen constant meddling and pressure from successive Governments. The current education system is failing our children. Under funding of East Riding Schools was an issue under Labour, and the Tories complained.

‘Now they’re in power the underfunding has continued. Our children are the ones that suffer. We need action, yet all we hear from our MPs are hollow words.’

‘Household energy bills soar due to liblabcon ‘green tax’ policies. This along with the old party’s obsession to desecrate our countryside with the ineffective wind turbines! This must stop, NOW. ‘

‘The Department of Energy and Climate Change says there are seven green taxes that put £112 on the average energy bill in 2013, making up just under a tenth of the total. We don’t want pensioners to make the choice between ‘heat or eat’ this winter.’

‘Another issue that impacts on the elderly and young Is the need for a regular reasonably priced bus service which is critical for many.’

‘All too often the services are costly and infrequent in the more rural areas. Due to successive governments increasing fuel duty, bus routes have had to be rationalised hindering the lives of the elderly those with hospital appointments, shift work etc.’

‘As a proud Yorkshire man; born and living in Beverley I will stand up and be counted.’

Gary has said he will:

  • Speak out against the loss of our beautiful countryside as the Government continues to blight our landscape with wind turbines
  • Highlight the issues of rural transport which is critical to so many in our region
  • I fight for better funding for our schools.
  • I pledge that I will work hard for Beverley and Holderness; serve the electorate, stand up for the nation’s interests putting Britain first.
