want quality at a reasonable price, something we offer.”

“It will be our first birthday on the 14th September, so we are holding lots of activities and a tombola to mark the occasion.”

“Through the year we have raised over money by holding similar events, we raffled a king-size quilt off made of men’s silk ties, which raised £630 for the hospice.”

Dove House Hospice is a charity providing excellent care and support for people in the local community with life limiting illnesses.

Dove House Hospice are specialists in palliative care, which is the total care of patients whose illness is no longer curable and for whom the goal must be quality of life.

They have an In-patient Unit, Day Therapy Unit and offer Respite Care services. The patient and their family are at the centre of everything we do – the patient, not the illness, is the focus of our care.

The Charity aims to give not only specialist care but special care, embracing their patients with warmth, understanding and friendship whilst offering them and their family’s guidance and support during difficult times.

All the services at Dove House Hospice are free for patients and their families, but not free to provide. Dove House Hospice is maintained by funds raised in the local community and support from the local Primary Care Trusts.
