TWOC: Long Lane Beverley

Humberside Police are appealing for information following a theft which occurred in Beverley.

At around 2315hrs on Sunday 26 June 2011 two men were seen to approach a moped parked on Long Lane, Beverley.

The men kick started the moped and rode it away.  One of the men fell off the motorcycle and a passer-by stopped to ask if he was ok.  The offender then allegedly attempted to steal some keys the man was holding before making off on the stolen moped.

The moped was later set alight and found near to the A1079.

The two suspects are described as:

– a white man, approximately 5ft 10in, aged between 20 and 28 years, of medium build with a bald head.  He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue denim jeans.

– A white man with tanned skin, approximately 5ft 10in tall, aged 28 to 32 years, of slim build with dark, short cropped hair with ’s on his left hand.  He was wearing a blue t-shirt and blue denim jeans.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the men on the moped to come forward to assist with inquiries.
