Crime Rates Fall In Region According To Latest Data From ONS

News that crime has fallen in the region has been welcomed by Deputy Chief Constable Chris Rowley. Latest figures released by the Office of National Statics have revealed that reported crime has fallen by 3pc.

While many crimes have fallen the region has seen an increase in the amount of drug-related offences.

Minister Nadhim Zahawi heard from local MPs about the effect that the lockdown has had on an industry which supports over 3,206 jobs in the East Riding alone, along with thousands of more jobs in the supply chain and those on holiday parks. More than 200,000 people are employed by holiday parks across the country.

Works to the Clubhouse at Beverley & East Riding Lawn Tennis Club have been completed with the help of £70,000 from East Riding of Yorkshire Council as part of Commuted Sums from local housing developments.

In addition to the £70,000 from Commuted Sums, Beverley and East Riding Lawn Tennis Club have put around £29,000 of their own funds towards the project.
