Absolutely Cultured Project To Bring Young People’s Visions Of The Future To Life

Throughout October and November, Absolutely Cultured are launching Model City, a ground-breaking new project, supported by NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group, that will co-create high-quality arts and culture with young people from across the city. The project will culminate in an outdoor event in the city centre in February next year.

The children of today will be the town planners, architects and decision-makers of the future and will decide how we live, what our cities and spaces look like and how we interact with them.

What Makes a Happy Period - Survey Aims To Uncover Period Poverty

The 28 Day Survey is a new campaign to start conversations around women’s health issues – starting with the question, “what makes a happy period?”

Following suggestions at the Hull Health and Wellbeing Board that up to 3000 (or possibly more) women in Hull will struggle to afford sanitary products, NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Hull City Council have agreed to research the issue locally and launch The 28 Day Survey.

Residents in Hull are being given the chance to have their say on plans to improve access to GP services. These proposals would make more appointments available outside of normal GP practice opening hours.

NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is to use funding from NHS England to offer additional appointments in the evenings and over weekends. If these plans go ahead the extra provision would be available from 2019.
