Friends and family celebrated the life of Lee Morley, a good friend of Beverley Rugby Club who, sadly passed away last year.
Proceedings from the match and lunch raised over £3000 to be donated to Ward 29 at Castle Hill hospital at the request of Lee’s family in thanks for the care given to Lee during his extended time there.
There’s an open mic night at the Beaver Pub on Tuesday April 2nd, starting at 8pm. The event is in aid of The J9 Foundation, set up by the legendary South African rugby star, Joost van der Westhuizen to raise awareness of Motor Neuron Disease, and to raise funds for research into a cure.
Beverley Town Football Club held their second annual golf day, and raised a staggering £1200 for club funds! In brilliant sunshine 22 teams battled it out at the prestigious Hornsea Golf Club, enjoying great hospitality from the staff at the club.
