Steve Peacock Leads Beverley Home At Bridlington

Fourteen athletes from Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Bridlington last Sunday for the annual Brid Half. The challenging undulating course takes runners out into the East Yorkshire countryside via Sewerby, Flamborough and Bempton and returns via Sewerby to a finish on the sea front.  It was a pleasant sunny day and conditions were good for running. After a successful day at the recent road relay competition in Warrington athletes from Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Sheffield last weekend to take part in the Northern Athletics Cross-Country Relay Championships. The 31st Great North Run took place last Sunday and nine athletes from Beverley Athletic Club joined more than 38,000 other runners at the start on the central motorway in Newcastle. Major Stone Half-Marathon Returns After Two Year Break

The Humber Bridge played host to a new running event last weekend.  The gruelling 12-hour Hell on the Humber endurance race started at 7 o’clock on Saturday evening and finished at 7 o’clock on Sunday morning.  Over a hundred competitors started the event but not everyone managed to finish. Youngsters Shine in Eccup

Dawson Hits The Jackpot in Burton Pidsea
