146 local runners gathered at East Hull Harriers’ clubhouse in Saltshouse Road to take part in the club’s Boxing Day 10k road race. Local Runners Travel To Lisbon For Marathon

A small group of runners from Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Portugal last weekend to compete in the Lisbon Marathon. Known as the seaside marathon, the course starts in the Estadio 1o Maio and follows an undulating route through the beautiful city centre before dropping down steeply to the coast between 19 and 23 kilometres. Steve Peacock Leads Beverley Home At Bridlington

Fourteen athletes from Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Bridlington last Sunday for the annual Brid Half. The challenging undulating course takes runners out into the East Yorkshire countryside via Sewerby, Flamborough and Bempton and returns via Sewerby to a finish on the sea front.  It was a pleasant sunny day and conditions were good for running. The 31st Great North Run took place last Sunday and nine athletes from Beverley Athletic Club joined more than 38,000 other runners at the start on the central motorway in Newcastle. Temperatures soared to 30°C last Sunday as more than 1500 people took part in the Humber Bridge Half-marathon. Brant Sets New PB in Edinburgh Marathon

Andrew Brant of Beverley Athletic Club is celebrating after setting a new personal best in the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday.
