On Friday 9th November, Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness, Graham Stuart visited St Nicholas Primary School in Beverley to observe the recent improvements to the standard of education at the school.
Thousands of people came to the Beverley Westwood to enjoy a giant bonfire and fireworks display organised by the Beverley Lions. The fire was lit by the Mayor of Beverley Margaret Pinder, Laura Fox and Geoff Rawson.
I would appeal to everyone and in particular, all those organisations that over the years have received support form The Beverley Lions to step forward and offer to help steward Beverley Bonfire Night.
Thank you certificates are still being delivered to those that assisted to make sure this years event took place and was a success the Town can be proud of. If anyone has any other suggestions, acts, etc to improve and add to next years event please contact David Elvidge.
