Samantha Walker Is Crowned Miss HU17

Samantha Walker was crowned Miss HU17 at The Beverley Arms in Beverley’s first beauty pageant.

 

Samantha when asked about her win told HU17.net;

“What A complete suprise! I was overwhelmed and very emotional. I feel really humbled to have won.”

Organiser Kirsty Mills was delighted with how the event went, she said;

“Tonight went really well, it has been a great success; all the girls looked lovely and a big well done has to go to Sami for winning.”

Cllr David Elvidge who was one of four judges on the panel said;

“I was happy to be involved in a community event, the fact it also raised money for a good cause is an added bonus.”

Each of the contestants took part in a number of rounds that included fancy dress and quality gowns from local boutique The Fairy Godmothers.

Prior to taking to the stage the ladies’ hair was done by local stylist Robert Memhet from El Turco Hair Gallery.
