Beverley Lions Charter Dinner @ The Tickton Grange

The Beverley Lions held their Charter Dinner at the Tickton Grange Hotel. This was the 51st dinner held by the Lions and was a black tie affair with Bill Rice acting as toast master to guests that included Beverley Mayor Bessie Foot. Beverley Lions Bonfire Night 2010: Fireworks & People

Thousands turned up for the annual Beverley Lions Bonfire and Fireworks Display on the Westwood. The bonfire was lit at 7.15 by Mayor of Beverley Bessie Foot and Beverley Lions Chairman Paul James.  The crowd were then treated to a fantastic firework show that was described by Lion Bill Rice as the “best ever”. Bridlington to Brighton Walk – Via Beverley

The Beverley Lions gave walkers from Meningitis UK a real boost this Sunday when they welcomed them to the Royal Oak in Beverley for a short rest and presented them with a cheque for £250. Beverley Lions showed their support for The Yorkies after they completed their Ride Across Britain. The group of cyclists from East Yorkshire, with many from Beverley, completed their 1,008 mile cycle from John O’Groats to Lands End this week. Beverley Lions Help Finance Hoist for Millers

Members of the Beverley Lions Club were present at the handover, at the Beverley Leisure Centre, of a special mobile electric hoist that the Beverley Lions Club have helped to finance.  This special hoist is used to lift adults who attend the Millers Day Centre in Beverley on to a trampoline to do Rebound Therapy.
