Conditions were perfect for running last Sunday when the final race of the 2012 / 2013 East Yorkshire Cross-Country League took place at Sewerby. It was firm underfoot with a few muddy sections and unusually for Sewerby there was no wind.
More than 750 runners took part in last Sunday’s Snake Lane 10 race at Pocklington, 26 of them from Beverley Athletic Club.
Conditions were cold and very muddy for the penultimate race in the East Yorkshire Cross-Country League which took place at Welton last Sunday.

Six biathletes from newly formed Yorkshire Biathle Club have qualified for the World Biathle Championships in Dubai on 3 November.

Two members of Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Germany recently to take part in the 39th Berlin Marathon. The course around the German capital is renowned for being fast and the current world marathon record was set there in 2011.
Members of Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Leigh in Lancashire last weekend to compete against teams from all over the north of England in the Northern 6 and 4 Stage Road Relay Championships.
