Walking Netball Sessions To Start In Driffield

Brand new walking netball sessions are to launch in Driffield later this month with the aim of helping ladies who may be worried about their fitness levels or mobility issues discover the sport for the first time or re-discover their love of the game.

The sport was introduced to the East Riding in 2015, by the council’s Sport, Play & Arts Service with the support of England Netball, and has gone from strength to strength ever since with weekly sessions now taking place in Beverley, Haltemprice, Withernsea and Goole.

Adrian Rawlins Named As New Artistic Director for East Riding Theatre

East Riding Theatre (ERT) has appointed Adrian Rawlins as its new artistic director. He will work with the creative and programming team to develop the theatre’s artistic programme from January 2017.

Vincent Regan, founder of ERT, who has just overseen his successful sell-out Christmas adaptation of Great Expectations, announced his decision to stand down as artistic director in September last year although he will continue his involvement as creative director and a member of ERT’s Board of Trustees.
