A ‘clear skills and training investment strategy’ is bearing fruit for Beverley, East Yorkshire-based Local Transport Projects (LTP).
Working closely with regional and northern universities, LTP has brought on board two new trainees as the company progresses its policy of providing genuine career opportunities for transport and traffic engineering professionals.
Campaigners are calling upon the East Riding of Yorkshire Council to intervene directly in the takeover of failing private care homes in the area.
The call comes following the closure or planned closure of three Care homes in the area.

Brand new walking netball sessions are to launch in Driffield later this month with the aim of helping ladies who may be worried about their fitness levels or mobility issues discover the sport for the first time or re-discover their love of the game.

Humber NHS Foundation Trust is welcoming this high profile focus being given to mental health services following Prime Minister Theresa May’s speech to the Charity Commission, where she described mental health as “dangerously disregarded” and as secondary to physical health.

East Riding Theatre (ERT) has appointed Adrian Rawlins as its new artistic director. He will work with the creative and programming team to develop the theatre’s artistic programme from January 2017.
Vincent Regan, founder of ERT, who has just overseen his successful sell-out Christmas adaptation of Great Expectations, announced his decision to stand down as artistic director in September last year although he will continue his involvement as creative director and a member of ERT’s Board of Trustees.
