A bus company is to launch a new later service to help two villages near Beverley following a request from residents.
Villagers in Cherry Burton appealed to councils and bus operators to provide a later service back from Beverley on weekdays, as the last bus currently departs from the town at 3.35pm during school term times, and 3pm during school holidays.
As part of Heritage Open Day, there will be a chance to go behind the scenes at the Treasure House in Beverley on Saturday, 9 September, from 10am – 4pm.
Visitors will be able to come to the Treasure House and discover a fascinating display of stories and tales about the East Riding’s cultural heroes.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is appealing for information to help find the owners of 10 sunken vessels in the River Hull located between Tickton and Beverley Beck, as it finalises plans to remove them in September.
