Protect Yourself And Your Family From The Flu This Winter

The winter nights will soon be creeping in and East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s associate director of public health is urging people who are eligible for the free flu vaccination to take up the offer.

Free flu jabs are available for people aged 65 and over, people aged from six months to less than 65 years of age with a long-term health condition, pregnant women, children aged from two to four years, people in long-stay residential care homes, and carers.

Major Improvement Scheme To Start At Beverley Roundabout

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has announced that a major highway improvement scheme is planned to start on the A1079 Killingwoldgraves Roundabout on Monday, 11 September, 2017, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.

The scheme involves widening the A1079 leg from Hull along with the A1174 and A1035 legs to provide longer two-lane approaches and entries to the junction, and also providing two lanes for circulation on the roundabout itself.
