Two pupils at St Mary’s Primary School Poppy Kitchen and Florence Hewitt have delivered a talk to fellow pupils about their involvement with the Humberside Police Lifestyle Project.
Poppy and Florence took part in the project during the summer holidays choosing to raise money to buy Friendship Benches for the school’s playground.
There was lots of thigh slapping fun happening at Armstrongs Social Club which was where a Barn Dance in aid of British Heart Foundation was held.
Organised by Sonia Healey and Jane Bunn the night was held in memory her partners dad, John Spooner who passed away five years ago this month.

Beverley in Bloom, a subgroup of Beverley Town Council has started preparing the town to look its best for this year’s Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Britain in Bloom Finals competition.
This is the first year that Beverley in Bloom have been selected to go forward to RHS Britain in Bloom, following the successes at regional level over the past few years, where Beverley in Bloom attained Gold, overall large town category winners for two years running and also the Yorkshire Rose Certificate in 2017 for best overall town.
