A community art installation at Beverley’s Flemingate centre is spreading messages of hope and peace for the year ahead.
The project, entitled “1,000 Origami Doves of Peace”, saw members of the public and local school children create folded paper doves, each with an individual message of hope and positivity are hidden inside.
Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart has written to the Chief Executive of the Post Office and asked for the consultation on the proposed move of Beverley Post Office into a franchise in the branch of WHSmith on Toll Gavel to be widened to include the fundamental issue of closing the Crown Post Office at Register Square.
Residents are currently being urged to share their views following the launch of the Crown Post Office Public Consultation.
However as reported some weeks back, the Post Office has made it clear they have made their minds up. Bosses have said that the Post Office in Beverley will indeed be closed.
Hull Maritime Museum is set to receive new ramps improving access to its main entrance of the striking building.
Hull City Council has successfully bid for £150,000 funding from the DCMS Wolfson Foundation to install two new access ramps and an access staircase to one of the three domes.
