2019 Bridlington Seafood Festival – A Taste Of The Coast

The 2019 Bridlington Seafood Festival will once again set taste buds tingling when it returns to the town on The Spa Promenade on the weekend of 15-16 June.

The two-day event, which runs from 10am-4pm both days, will offer seafood cookery demonstrations, free children’s entertainment, live music, educational sessions and, of course, a wide selection of food stalls, traders and exhibitors.

She Productions will take over East Riding Theatre for 2 weeks (9- 20 July) with She Fest 2019. Working alongside East Riding Theatre’s recently awarded Artist in Residence, Emma Garness, the theatre will be ‘hostess’ to workshops, art exhibitions, cabaret and comedy, all led by local female-identifying artists and business owners.

The project has cost £67,649 and been funded by the FCC Communities Foundation which has contributed £37,836 and East Riding of Yorkshire Council who contributed £22,000.

Bridget Bennett, East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s service manager for early years and family support, has worked as a social worker in front line practice since 1977.  She has worked in the East Riding since 1999, having previously managed a family centre in York.
