Beverley Enjoy Huge Derby Win Over Dockers In Front Of Big Crowd
This performance by Beverley will rank as the best and most complete so far this season. A big crowd basked in the sun and the home side handled the big occasion the better of the two sides.
This latest win moves the Blue and Golds up to 5th with the business end of the season approaches. Beverley faces another crucial home fixture against 3rd placed Wigan St Judes next Saturday.

Helen Skelton Urges College Students To Seize Their Moment
Television presenter Helen Skelton has urged students completing their studies at Bishop Burton College to seize the chance to do something “phenomenal” with their lives.
Helen, who is famed for her roles with Blue Peter, Countryfile and the BBC’s Olympic Games’ coverage, was the special guest speaker at the college’s Presentation Day.
Performance Poet Catherine Scott Coming To Beverley Library
As part of the East Riding Festival of Words Poetry Prize series of events, Beverley Library will be hosting “An evening with Catherine Scott” on Thursday, 11 July at 6.00pm.
The evening will be a chance to enjoy her wicked sense of humour, sometimes sweary, sometimes political but always thought-provoking and ultimately tender.
Double Header Of Action This Week For Beverley ARLFC
The blue and golds will take on Hull Dockers this Saturday in their only derby fixture this season. Beverley will face Hull Dockers at 2.30pm kick-off at the Leisure Centre.
The match is also the second leg of the Paul ‘Curly’ Quiney Cup. The match, sponsored by the Middleton family, seems likely to attract the biggest crowd of the season so far to the Leisure Centre with a lot riding on the game.
Ferens Art Gallery’s Piece Receives Woodmansterne Art Conservation Award
One of the first artworks gifted to Hull by Thomas Ferens has won a prestigious award that will allow it to be preserved and displayed for future generations.
The Night School (1892) by Edgar Bundy (1862-1922) was first displayed in the Hull Autumn Exhibition in 1907.
James Dick, OBE, DL To Become New Lord Lieutenant Of The East Riding Of Yorkshire
Mr James Dick, OBE, DL, has been appointed as the new Lord Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire.
He will succeed The Hon. Dame Susan Cunliffe-Lister, DCVO, who will step down in November after 14 years as The Queen’s representative in the county.
Free Bus Travel For Leisure Users As Ennerdale Closes Its Doors
As Ennerdale Leisure Centre prepares to close its doors for a £1.76 million refurbishment, users are being offered free bus travel to its closest alternative, Woodford.
The facility in Sutton Road will close on Sunday 30 June at 4.30pm for upgrades to electrical and mechanical services plus refurbishment to the reception, cafe gym, studio and sauna areas.
Rapist Mark Scott Sentenced For Series Of Sex Attacks On Women
A former prison officer who was found guilty of nine counts of rape and one of attempted rape of six different women has today been sentenced to a total of 28 years at Hull Crown Court.
Mark Scott, 34, formerly of Daville Close in Hull was found guilty last month of the offences which dated back to 2005 and stretched over a period of 13 years.
Hull City Council Responds To Rising Demand For Secondary School
Hull City Council is increasing the capacity of three schools in the city to respond to the rising demand in secondary school places.
It is projected that over the next five years there will be an increase in demand for 1,000 secondary school places in the west of Hull.
