Television presenter Helen Skelton has urged students completing their studies at Bishop Burton College to seize the chance to do something “phenomenal” with their lives.
Helen, who is famed for her roles with Blue Peter, Countryfile and the BBC’s Olympic Games’ coverage, was the special guest speaker at the college’s Presentation Day.
As part of the East Riding Festival of Words Poetry Prize series of events, Beverley Library will be hosting “An evening with Catherine Scott” on Thursday, 11 July at 6.00pm.

Mark Scott, 34, formerly of Daville Close in Hull was found guilty last month of the offences which dated back to 2005 and stretched over a period of 13 years.
Hull City Council is increasing the capacity of three schools in the city to respond to the rising demand in secondary school places.
It is projected that over the next five years there will be an increase in demand for 1,000 secondary school places in the west of Hull.
