A new campaign aimed at supporting parents and young people in reducing relationship conflicts has been launched today.

Relationship Matters is a programme that will provide support for parents where there are conflicts, and emotional well-being support for young people affected by this, in turn, improving the mental health and long-term future chances for children involved.

East Riding Libraries Now Offer A Digital Newspaper Subscription Service

East Riding Libraries have launched a new free service to digitally download a variety of popular eNewspapers.

Library members can now access a choice of over 160 national, local and regional UK newspapers, as well as over 2300 from other countries, offering a range of digital publications in 59 different languages, and hundreds of back issues.

Hull’s Council Housing Build Programme Gathers Pace

Not even the Covid-19 outbreak and lockdown could put the brakes on Hull City Council’s ambitious housing growth programme. This week, work has started on the latest phase, to build nine, modern new bungalows to rent from the council at Beckington Close and Plym Grove, Longhill. 

The contract was awarded to Hull-based Houlton. The new homes at Beckington Close and Plym Grove have a contribution from the Humber LEP local growth fund, which is supporting housing growth in the city.

If you need medical help, the NHS is here for you – Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC), out of hours GP services and some pharmacies across Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire will remain open. GP practices and most pharmacies will be closed on the bank holiday.
