Beverley’s roads and paths will be improved as part of a scheme.
To upgrade the roads and paths in Wilberforce Crescent and Arden Road, the East Riding of Yorkshire Council will invest £238,000.
It is expected to take five weeks to complete the work between Samman Road and Coltman Avenue junction, which is scheduled to begin on Thursday 28 September.
Work on the footpaths will begin during weekdays, under traffic management, during the weekdays. Four weeks are expected to pass before this work is completed.
Then, between Tuesday 24 October and Wednesday 1 November, road resurfacing will be carried out.
There will be a closure of Wilberforce Crescent and Arden Road during the resurfacing work. Samman Road and Coltman Avenue will be marked as diversion routes.
Highway maintenance staff from the council will perform the work.
Councillor Paul West, the council’s portfolio holder for environment and transport, said:
“We’d like to thank residents in this area and people using these roads and paths for their patience while this work is carried out.
“The improvements need to be made and people will notice the difference when they’re finished.”
