Sewerby Hall And Gardens Offers Great Ideas This Winter

There are lots of great ideas for great trips out at East Yorkshire attraction Sewerby Hall and Gardens now that winter is officially here.

A great opportunity to get some fresh air is available seven days a week on the grounds and all the gardens. You can also visit the zoo on a daily basis. However, an admission fee is charged.

Except for the Sewerby Winter Woodland event, when it will be open daily, as well as during the school Christmas holidays and February half term, the house is now only open at weekends during autumn and winter.

A new theme will be introduced to Sewerby Winter Woodland – the chance to meet Winter Woodland Elves!

During the Winter Woodland Elves’ tinkering with lights and sound, a stunning party atmosphere is created in the woods, with a focus firmly on having fun.

A free-flowing walk through the woods will be lit up with beautiful displays of colour, and you’ll be able to see what the woodland elves get up to outside of the toymakers’ workshop – dancing with the reindeer, playing, and crafting.

Plenty To See And Do At Sewerby Hall This Holiday Season

With impressive items from the Victoria and Albert Museum and other important collections, the house is presented as a country house of the Edwardian era, circa 1910.

Guests can also find hot and cold food and drinks at the Clock Tower Café, which is open daily.

During the winter, admission to the zoo costs £4 for adults / £3 for children / £13 for a family of two adults and two children.

There are no differences in prices for the house only when it is open. A combined ticket (house and zoo) costs £7 for adults, £5 for children, and £22 for a family.

It is important to remember that tickets are selling fast for the Sewerby Winter Woodland event, which takes place between 9 – 23 December this year.

Over the holiday season, the grounds come alive with lights, sounds, and special effects, creating an unforgettable evening for the whole family.
