Beverley Choir, Remarkable Rock, returns to the stage after a 2-year covid enforced absence. 

After a 2-year wait Beverley choir, Remarkable Rock, is returning to the stage, with a bumper Rock show ‘Beverley Rocks’.

The night will take place that the & Theatre at the Flemingate in Beverley, on Thursday 12 May at 7:30pm.

Following a covid-enforced hiatus, the choir is now back rocking and ready to perform. Musical Director, Mark Howley said;

“Following the lockdowns we were unsure of what would greet us when we relaunched our Beverley choir, but we’ve been delighted with the response and now have over 90 members.”

“They are sounding amazing, singing some absolute belters, alongside our live band.”

“We’ve got rock classics from the likes of Meatloaf, Van Morrison, ELO, Oasis, the Beatles, Tina Turner, Primal Scream, The Cranberries, , and so much more! We just hope we can get the sort of enthusiastic crowds we were getting at concerts before covid.”

“The choir is unique for performing with a live band of professional musicians and we know our audience will have a fantastic night of great live music.”

The event is raising funds for Schools Rock, and any ticket proceeds will go towards specialist music provision for children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities, across the East Riding. 

Tickets to ‘Beverley Rocks’ are £10, and £7.50 for those under 16’s, and can be purchased from the Parkway Box Office, online on the Beverley Parkway website and from 01482 968090.
