East Riding youth groups wanting support and advice with their Positive Activity Grant (PAG) applications are invited to attend a free open evening on Tuesday 21 January.

As the deadline approaches for this year’s applications, ’s youth and family support service (YFS) is holding the event in conjunction with the HEY Smile Foundation and the council’s external funding team.

The open evening will be held between 5 and 8 pm at The Point, County Hall in Beverley, with hourly sessions running from 5pm, 6pm and 7pm. Free parking is available at the rear of the Treasure House.

Kevin Allen, YFS service manager, said;

“We particularly welcome town and parish councils and current youth sector groups, including faith-based, disability, uniform, arts, dance, drama and sports to come along to the sessions to enable them to complete their application by January 31 2020. The sessions will provide practical help on completing the PAG application.”

The PAG awards provide youth groups with vital funding to deliver positive diversionary activity to young people aged nine to 24 across the East Riding.

Applications are particularly welcome from organisations that can deliver provision for targeted and vulnerable young people from areas of urban and rural deprivation within the East Riding.
