The blue and golds will hit the road this Saturday, to face Salford City Roosters, in search of an eleventh win on the trot.

The corresponding fixture at the Leisure Centre earlier in the year saw Beverley defeat the Eccles based outfit 68-8.

Whilst such a wide margin of victory will make the visitors firm favourites, it could be tougher this time out.

Beverley will have to take their opponents, who sit third bottom in the table with a number of absentees. Missing are Lee Stevens, Ben Atkin, Peter Starling, Ben Bardle, Tom Moor, Chris Johnson and Louis Hubbard with a combination of work and holiday commitments.

Lewis Straw sustained a broken ankle last weekend to add to the other longer term injuries to Luke Inglis and Josh Poskitt.

Director of Rugby Pat Howdle in left in charge, due to Scott Taylor being on Hull FC duty, will therefore not finalise his line up until Saturday.

There is also a chance that Bobby Howdle and Billy Riby may not be available but Howdle will be boosted by the return of Sam Coleman and Jack Humphries who could be favourites for the centre and stand-off roles respectively.

Two buses will depart from the Potting Shed at 11am as the Academy side are also in action at Batley Boys ‘A’ kicking off at 1.30pm. Kick-off is 2.30pm for the first team.
