The Treasure House in Beverley will welcome Professor Heather Shore (Leeds Beckett University) and Dr Helen Johnston (University of Hull) for a Criminal Ancestors workshop on Saturday, 2 June, from 9:30am to 3:30pm.
A Criminal Ancestor is anyone who historically encountered the criminal justice system, whether the accused, victims, witnesses, prisoners, police or prison officers.
This study day will help those attending to learn how to use historical crime, policing and punishment records to search for their relatives.
