Chamas in Beverley hosted an open evening following work that has seen them more than double the size of their Wednesday Market restaurant.

Since opening in July, owner Ali Tekce said that demand for the tables and the Brazilian rotisserie has been so great they felt the time was right for their expansion.

Speaking to HU17.net Ali said;

“Chamas has brought something totally different to Beverley and this led to us having waiting lists of people who were trying to book tables.”

“When we first opened in the summer we were able to cater for around 40 people. Over the past few months we have had to turn people away so made the decisions to increase our capacity.”

 “Cosmos is now situated upstairs and we opened up the ground floor allowing us to more than double the number of people we can seat to 100.”

 “Over all we have been delighted with the response from our customers. We have enjoyed some really good feedback and are in the top three on review web site Trip Advisor.”

“When we look at what people are saying about us, they tend to praise us for our staff, service and the food we serve. They also certainly like the table side service. Customers can come in, sit down and eat right away, there is no waiting time, another huge benefit.”

To add to the atmosphere of the unveiling of the new look Chamas, entertainment was provided by some highly energetic Brazilian dancers.

Special guests on the night included the Chairman of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Cllr Caroline Fox who in a speech wished the business all the best for the future and  praised them for their success to date.

Chamas which is based on the Brazilian Rodizio style, an all-you-can-eat style of restaurant service in Brazilian restaurants.

Diners can help themselves to fresh produce from the buffet, while skewers with a range of meats are brought to the table and carved by their staff.
