Beverley racer James Westmoreland competed in round seven of the Championship (BSB) around the notorius Thruxton circuit in Hampshire on board the Gearlink Kawasaki ZX-10R.

Qualifying saw him place the Kawasaki thirteenth on the grid with a 1min 15.2sec lap. 

As racing got underway he dropped back to eighteenth after a slow start.  

By the end of lap two he had moved into seventeenth where he remained until lap nine. 

Lap ten saw him drop another two places as the tyres started to wear on the abrasive circuit. 

Between laps ten and fifteen he was battling with those around him changing positions from seventeenth to twentieth.  Lap sixteen saw him in eighteenth place where he remained until the chequered flag.

Race two saw him start from seventeenth place on the grid and as the lights went green he dropped to nineteenth until lap three. 

On lap four Aarn Zanotti retired moving Westmoreland up a place to eighteenth.  He remained eighteenth until lap thirteen when John Hopkins retired. 

Now running seventeeenth he pushed hard to gain more places and on lap sixteen moved into sixteenth place and a lap later took fifteenth where he remained until the chequered flag.

Westmoreland will be in action again on the 18th – 20th August at in Lincolnshire.
