Beverley Folk Festival is encouraging residents to come along and get a taster of what the event has to offer for just £3 each per day, with children under 12 getting in for free.

This festival entery gives attendees access to a wide range of events and sessions. If you like what you see and hear, upgrade tickets will be available, which allow access to all performances and venues for either half day, full day or the whole weekend, depending on which option you choose.

Festival director, Jim Pybus, explained:

“For just £3 you can experience a wide range of music, workshops, activities and more, from 10am until gone midnight. For a family of four, including two parents and two children under 12 years old, that’s just £6 for a whole day of activities, as the kids get in free.”

Matt Snowden, chairman of the festival, added:

“This is an opportunity for us to give a platform to local and regional musicians and music groups, plus there will be fantastic food stands, craft stalls, activities for children and excellent real ale from Hull’s own Atom Brewery. Why not give it a go and come and soak up the festival atmosphere!”

, assistant headteacher at Longcroft School and director of the Longcroft Gospel Choir Choir, said:

“All members of our Gospel Choir and thrilled to be invited back to perform at the festival, as we enjoy bringing our music to the wider community. We look forward raising the roof of the Little Big Top and hope to see as many people there from the local community as possible.”
