Popular Harry Potter Event Returns To Beverley in February

The wizarding world of Harry Potter will be coming to 14 libraries the East Riding including Beverley for a very special event next month.

Harry Potter Book Night will be held at Beverley Library on Thursday 2 February, promising a magical hour of activities, readings and games exploring the adventures of the young sorcerer.

A very popular event the it is themed around the Professors of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Costing just £2.50 per child The Harry Potter Book Night costs is suitable for Key Stage 2 children in school years 3 to 6.

Children who attend are encouraged to dress up in Harry Potter Fancy dress with organisers asking them to also bring their wands along too.

Librarian Jessica Thewlis said:

“Building on the success of previous events at our libraries, this is another great chance for young people to come in and celebrate their favourite books and characters at a fun event.”

Booking online is essential and opens on Monday 9 January and can be down online through the councils events web site.

Children must be a library member to take part. Please contact your local library to join up for free if not already a member.

The event will be held on 2 February from 6pm to 7pm at Beverley Library and is strictly restricted to just 20 places per library.

The film Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them a spin off from the Harry Potter series is currently being screening Beverley at the Park Way Cinema and is must watch for fans, receiving good reviews from people of all ages.

Please note the Harry Potter events held at Beverley Library are very popular and if you want to attend you are urged to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
