Stark On Target For Town As They Beat Athletic At Norwood

Beverley Town Reserves boss Ed Grady said he was delighted with his team after they came from behind to beat Park Athletic at the Norwood Recreation Ground.

Park Athletic took the lead inside five minutes through Lewis Sarel. Town got back on level terms after Shaun Gibson headed home from a  Danny Cattle free kick.

Town completed the come back and sealed all three points thanks a strike from their fox in the box Alex Stark who got on the end of pass from Gibson slotting the ball home.

Grady speaking to HU17.net said;

“Every single player out there today deserved to be man of the match. They showed great character coming from behind.”

“There was a lot of big performances on the pitch, for me Cattle really stood out and cause Park Athletic problems throughout the game.”

Town have been on a poor run in the East Riding County League, Saturday’s result was their first win in eight games and only their third league win of the season.

Next weekend Town will hit the road as they face Sculcoates Amateurs Reserves in a mid table clash as they looked to end 2014 with back to back wins.

Final Score: Beverley Town Reserves 2 Park Athletic 1
