We Deserved More From The Game Says Terry Jackson

Speaking after the game, Jackson said;

“The score line does not reflect the game I was watching. We were certainly the better side on the day, and the result is very hard on us and the players.”

“We created enough chances to win the match but failed to capitalise on the openings we created.”

“I was very pleased with how the new signs slotted in, Mike Tarling and George Eastwood both played very well and are clearly a great asset to the club.”

Jackson also took the opportunity to wish well , who suffered a broken leg while playing.

Young who is a Communications Engineer was due to start a new job, but that has since been put on hold after he suffered his injury.

Jackson said;

“We missed him out there. He is a key player in our team, and it shows when he is not playing. Myself and everyone at the club would like to wish him well.”

Young’s injury is so bad that he is facing up to 12 months of not being able to work, and Jackson is hoping to put on an event to help him financially through the next year, he said;

“The local football family has all said they will back any event we can set up. The Humber Colts, Hodgsons FC and Beverley Town Football Club have all pledged their support.”

“From what I know he is facing a very long time without being able to work so hopefully we can raise some cash to help him through the coming months.”

Next weekend, Jackson and his side face another tough test as they hit the road to take on Reserves who currently are top of the East Riding County League.
