Grady Left Disappointed As Beverley Town Draw With Rangers

Beverley Town Reserves manager Ed Grady says he is ‘disappointed’ after his side were held by the bottom club Rangers at the Norwood Recreation Ground.

In pouring rain on a heavy pitch Town took the lead thanks to a goal from Adam Gibson though were pegged back Nicholas Johnson equalised for Rangers.

Speaking after the Grady said;

“I am very disappointed with the result; we should be winning games like this and certainly should be beating the team that is bottom of the league.”

Rangers have struggled to all season, and their draw with Town was just their second point of the season in five games.

Grady added;

had a chance to win the match for us when he went clean through and was one on one, but somehow he managed to place his shot straight into the keepers’ arms.”

“It was great to have Alex Stark back. He looked good but after being away for three weeks he was lacking match fitness.”

“Tom Proud also showed his class on his return with another solid performance at the back.”

“It was never going to be s good footballing match due to the pitch. A draw is an improvement on recent weeks.”

“There is a lot of us that haven’t played together before so it was always going to take time to build. However, if everyone sticks together, then we can do it.”

Next weekend, Beverley Town Reserves are again at home as they host Park Athletic at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
