CHAMPIONS : Town Clinch Humber Premier League Title

Town retained their title after they beat Crown FC 3 – 0 to be confirmed as champions for the second consecutive season.

Town went into the match requiring a single point but came away with all three after goals from , Tyler Collinson and skipper Michael O’Connell.

Manager Dave Ricardo speaking to HU17.net after the game said;

“This is a proud moment for the club. No only have we won the Humber Premier League, but we have improved as team since last year.”

“Our defence has been solid all season, we have conceded just 15 goals in 26 games which is unreal at this level.”

Town looked a lot better than they have done in recent times with Nathan White pulling the strings in the middle of the park and leading by example, Ricardo said;

“White was pure class today, he was always on the front foot, very proactive and dominated the midfield we needed that sort of player today against useful team like Crown.”

Crown FC’s Mickey Markham also commented on Beverley Town’s title he said;

“Myself and everyone here would like to congratulate Beverley on winning the league. They are a good side and they deserve to be champions.”

“We were a little disappointed with our players today, they never turned up and they need to turn up, today was a massive game and we never really trouble Beverley.”

The Champions return to Humber Premier League action in the middle of the week when they face a trick to the Victoria Pleasure Grounds to play .
