Beverley today came to a standstill like many town throughout the UK this morning at 11am as two minutes silence was observed to mark Armistice Day.
Members of the Beverley CLB who were on the Market Cross in Saturday Market played the last post before shoppers, local business and police officers all stopped and a group of children stood in silence for two minutes.
