Walkington Lose By Final By Six Runs

Walkington Cricket Club were beaten by Welton in the 20/20 final at the Norwood Recreation Ground.

Fielding first Walkington restricted Welton to 139 from their 20 overs. However, the first innings will not be remembered for the cricket but for the injury to Walkington’s wicket keeper Matthew Frampton.

Frampton dislocated his finger while fielding the ball. Despite attempts from a number of people to pop his finger back, Frampton was forced to retire hurt from the match and take a trip to the hospital.

The injury delayed game leaving Walkington task chasing the game harder as they complete their innings in the dark falling seven runs short.
