Beverley RUFC have a weekend off from league action on Saturday as they make the short trip to Pocklington for the Yorkshire Cup Preliminary round tie.
Head Coach Anthony Posa said yesterday,
“I am pleased that we have this tie. We at Beverley take a lot of pride in our commitment to the Yorkshire Cup competition and we will be taking the game very seriously.”
“Our league match there in September was a very hard fought affair which we only won narrowly and Pock are putting together some impressive results in their first season at North 1 level. ”
“Nonetheless, we have several players set to return from injury and others showing well in the 2nds who all need game time against stiff opposition.”
“This gives us the opportunity to try out a few different combinations, without necessarily weakening the team.”
