Beverley ARLC To Host Halifax Irish In Second Round Of Cup

The blue and golds will host their plum Yorkshire Cup second round tie at the Beverley Leisure Centre kicking off at 2pm this Saturday.

Pennine Premier League outfit Halifax Irish will be in town on Saturday. A full day’s entertainment will be on offer with the under 8s taking part in a curtain raiser at approximately 1.20pm.

This will be the first of many initiatives in the future promoting junior rugby league in Beverley and the East Riding. There will also be a kids bouncy castle. An official match day programme will be on sale at a cost of £1 featuring a number of interesting articles about the past and the present Beverley club.

Chairman Graham Ostler is hoping for a big crowd on Saturday he commented

“Matches like this give us the chance to test ourselves out of our comfort zone.”

He went on to say;

“During the close season we have revamped the club’s off the field operation and it is paying dividends as we have sold out all 180 tickets for our charity sports dinner at the Racecourse later in the month in next to no time and all we need now is the results on the field”
