Make Shift Tanners Team Hammered By North Cave

Hodgsons FC were well beaten this weekend by North Cave in the .

A depleted side offered little resistance to rampant North Cave who won the game six nil scoring three goals in each half.

Rob Lever was left with a selection headache with nine of his team missing; a makeshift Tanners team saw Andy Lane play up front and , aged 57, come off the bench to replace , who was injured in the first half.

When quizzed about the lack of players Hodgsons FC Manager Rob Levere simply replied;

“Some of our reserves were supposed to play; I did not find out until it was too late had forgotten to pass the message, on so we have had to make do with the resources we have.”

This week the Tanners play host to Bransholme Athletic at Bishop Burton College.

  2. I got asked for 3 players from the reserves on Friday night, I text the whole team askin if they wanted to play! I didn’t have a single reply, what do I do? Drag them down to the pitch myself?? Then again, who would waste a Saturday afternoon to sit on the bench, risking not getting on at all and If you do come on, they are more than likely a few goals down!
