Beverley Ladies Circle Gets New Chair

A mist of red, white and blue descended into Cerutti2 as Beverley Ladies Circle held their annual ‘Handover’. The ‘Jubilee’ theme was enthusiastically adhered to as the ladies donned their patriotic Gladrags.

The outgoing Chair Ginny Vorwerg thanked her hard working committee and announced that £350 was raised for Age UK through various events.

She then handed over the chains of office to Kerri Harold who introduced her committee and her chosen charity for the year.

She chose Dove House Hospice as the charity the ladies will support during the next 12 months. She explained the reasons for her choice and that through the death of a close friend from leukemia she had become aware of all the good work that Dove House does.

She said,

“I thought that Dove House was simply a hospice, but during this time, I have been shown the depth of commitment the caring and experienced practitioners show families before, during and after they experience the tragic loss of a loved one.”

“They are a very deserving charity and I’m sure we will all work very hard over the next 12 months to raise as much as we can for this worthwhile cause!”
The ladies thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of Tina and all her staff at Cerutti2, the food, as always was fit for a ‘Queen’!

If you are interested in becoming a member of Beverley Ladies Circle, you can find them on the National Association of Ladies Circle website or by contacting Kerri via email kerri@westholmecars.karoo.co.uk
