Rugby Football Union East Yorkshire  “World Cup 10’s” Rugby Competition At Beaver Park

Beverley RUFC will host the East Yorkshire World Cup 10 a-side competition at Beaver Park this Saturday 6 August 2011.

Gates will open at 11 a.m and the first matches will kick-off at noon.

Entry to the event is free to individuals but there will be a nominal £1 per car parking fee.

The following clubs have confirmed their entries :-

Beverley, Hull RUFC, Hull Ionians,Hornsea, Malton,Scarborough, York, Hullensians, Bridlington and Driffield.

Confirmation is awaited from Pocklington and Goole.

Matches will be of 20 minutes duration and, after a pool stage there will be a knock-out competitions for Cup, Plate and Bowl.

Normal 15 a side rules will apply but with 7’s restarts(scoring team kick-off) and drop goals only for conversions and penalties.

It is anticipated that the event will finish at approx 5 p.m. There will be a bar service and bar-b-cue burgers, hot dogs etc on sale. All are welcome to enjoy a great family day out.
