The Humber Colts beat young Mill Lane United side 6 – 3 as they began their preseason campaign with a win.
The Colts took a five goal lead and got complacent allowing United to score three goals before skipper Mike Claxton scored ending any hopes of the visitors getting something from the game.
Hodgsons FC Jordon Dexter also made an appearance for the Colts fuelling speculation he creative forward will sign for them before the transfer window closes.
